What we do

P.O.P.S.Y. is a Support Group for Parents and Carers of children with ‘special needs’ that was set-up to help others in a similar position to ourselves.

We wanted to offer families, who have just had their lives turned upside down, the reassurance that the outlook is positive; that someone knows how they feel and offer some idea of what they may face in the future.

POPSY aims to:

• provide a support network for Parents and Carers of children with special needs
• enable experiences to be shared and help those facing a new diagnosis
• provide a positive focus for Parents and Carers
• offer respite for those who care for children with special needs
• challenge prejudices about children with special needs.

P.O.P.S.Y. raises funds for:

• specialist equipment and toys for the organisations that help us
• respite
• family activities and outings
